Vandaag heerlijk in de auto het album goed kunnen beluisteren. Top!! Wat een lekker motortje zit er achter de band. Goeie sound ook, knap gedaan. Favoriete tracks: What Ya Gonna Do en Keep Workin’ met Jimi Bellmartin. Stop Fightin’ is trouwens ook heerlijk en Is It Your Love had een nog veel langere jam mogen zijn. Complimenten aan allemaal! – Deejay Jaap Brienen – Radio 6 Soul & Jazz #whereyat #wya

Ain’t that funny. Let’s hope ‘Risco Brasil‘ will be a(nother) big hit for the group. Go for it guys! If you’d like to hear what they sampled… check out their the video below. Continue reading
HBO uses Soul Snatchers in new series Ballers
We’re very proud HBO used one of our tracks for their new series Ballers. The main character of the show is Spencer Strasmore played by actor Dwayne Johnson who’s known for his roles in ‘Fast & Furious’, GI Joe and many blockbusters more. Mark Wahlberg is the executive producer of the show and well known as an actor as well starring in movies like Boogie Nights and The Departed. The track HBO used by The Soul Snatchers is Granny’s Groove taken from their first album. Continue reading

Our Own Official YouTube Channel
As you may have noticed there’s a whole bunch of Soul Snatchers videos out there on the Interweb. A good landing page was still missing. Until now! We’ve recently sorted out a lot of our videos and tried to create a nice landing spot on ….. Taadaa…. YouTube. Yes it’s a fact, we’ve now got our own Official YouTube Channel (and Google+ page as a bonus). Our next goal is to keep everything well sorted. To find out if we succeed in doing that there’s only one thing you can do. Head over there and press the subscribe button or just click here and you’ll be kept up to date as soon as we have anything worth sharing.
New album coming up!
You might have noticed it elsewhere on tha web but The Soul Snatchers finished recording their new (3rd) album ‘Where Y’At?’ recently. As we speak the album is being mastered after which it will be sent to the (vinyl)presser. The album is due to be released early ’16. Even heavier than before, the listeners will be treated on this album to some New Orleans flavors. Some Snatchers went to visit Nola earlier and decided it was about time to bring more crescent grooves into the recording process. That’s exactly what happened but as always, the Snatchers mixed it up with everything they like as long as it grooves. So one can expect an album full of Soul & Funk with some greasy Nola flavors on top it. Yet another finger-licking sensation! Keep your eyes and ears open!
